Abstract of the Disclosure A hand utensil is disclosed for holding a citrus fruit or a piece thereof. It has a bowl shaped cover to be engaged over the fruit or piece of fruit. A multi-arm clamp member is disposed within the cover and has at the free ends of the arms, inwardly pointing claws. The arms are radially moveable between an outer fruit-releasing position and an inner fruit-engaging position. The claws engage, in the latter position, the skin of the fruit or fruit half. The clamp member is axially moveable relative to the cover and the cover is provided with control means compulsorily guiding the clamp member arms into their inner, fruit engaging position upon the clamp member being moved axially towards the interior of the cover. The control means may com- prise a guide gate for spreading the clamp member arms upon pushing of the clamp member into its outer end position and for pulling the arms inwardly upon inward movement of the clamp member.
