A carton having a base panel (13), two side panels (14), a first top panel (15), a second top panel (16) and end panels (17, 18, 19). The first top panel (15) has a strap handle portion (21) defined by a cut (20) which extends the length of the first top panel and a distance into the adjacent end panels (18). The second top panel (16) overlies the first top panel and is adhered thereto. The second top panel provides access means comprising a central grip portion (29, 31) which is adhered to the underlying strap handle (21).

Cette invention concerne une boîte en carton comportant un panneau constituant la base de cette boîte(13), deux panneaux latéraux (14), un premier panneau supérieur (15), un second panneau supérieur (16) et des volets d'extrémité (17, 18, 19). Le premier panneau supérieur (15) est pourvu d'une partie sangle formant poignée (21) définie par une fente (20) qui s'étend le long du premier panneau supérieur et sur une certaine longueur à l'intérieur des volets d'extrémité adjacents (18). Le second panneau supérieur (16) recouvre le premier panneau supérieur sur lequel il est collé. On dispose avec le second panneau supérieur d'un organe d'accès comportant une partie centrale permettant la préhension (29, 31), qui est collée à la sangle formant poignée (21).
