An apparatus to accommodate turning of a door control handle while the door is locked, which comprises an output shaft to control latching and unlatching of the door; first structure positioned for movement in response to rotation of the control handle; second structure having operative coupling to the first structure and to the output shaft for displacement to effect rotation of the output shaft in response to the movement of the first structure; and lock structure having an element movable into and out of blocking relation to the second structure, thereby to block the displacement of the second structure when the lock structure element is moved into blocking relation and alternatively to allow displacement of the second structure when the lock structure element is moved out of blocking relation; the operative coupling providing lost motion operative connection between the first and second structures to allow continued rotation of the control handle after the lock structure blocks the displacement of the second structure.
Appareil pour faciliter la rotation d'une poignée de commande d'une porte pendant que celle-ci est verrouillée.
