A handover method between two cells of a cellular mobile radiocommunication network is disclosed. Each cell has a base station (BTS1, BTS2) and, according to the method, a mobile station (MS) communicating with a first base station (BTS1), designated prior base station, receives an instruction to change base station (HANDOVER CMD) and transmits a message indicating that a connection has been established (SABM) or containing meaningful data for the second of said base stations, designated base station (BTS2) or new base station, taking into account a lead time during which said mobile station must delay transmission of messages to the new base station (BTS2). The base station changeover instruction (HANDOVER CMD) also informs the mobile station (MS) not to transmit access messages to the new base station (BTS2), and the lead time is determined by said mobile station (MS) when it is not included in the base station changeover instruction (HANDOVER CMD).
La présente invention concerne un procédé de handover entre deux cellules d'un réseau cellulaire de radiocommunications mobiles, chaque cellule étant munie d'une station de base (BTS1, BTS2), procédé selon lequel une station mobile (MS) communicant avec une première station de base (BTS1), dite ancienne station de base: reçoit un ordre de changement de station de base (HANDOVER CMD); transmet un message contenant une information d'établissement de connexion (SABM) ou des données utiles à la deuxième desdites stations de base, dite station de base (BTS2), dite nouvelle station de base, en tenant compte d'une avance temporelle avec laquelle ladite station mobile doit retarder l'émission de ses messages à destination de la nouvelle station de base (BTS2). L'ordre de changement de station de base (HANDOVER CMD) indique en outre au mobile (MS) de ne pas mettre de message d'accès en direction de la nouvelle station de base (BTS2), et l'avance temporelle est déterminée par le mobile (MS) lorsqu'elle ne lui est pas communiquée dans l'ordre de changement de station de base (HANDOVER CMD).
