The present invention is a portable light that will clip onto most items up to 25 millimeters thick allowing hands-free use. It is constructed of a lightweight, durable, non-porous, solid material with a front, a back, a top, a bottom, a left side and a right side. The body of the light includes a ball and socket style rotating head, much like an eye, containing a countersunk light source. The rotating head will pivot 140 degrees in any direction enabling the user to direct the light accordingly and having been substantially encased within the body, only a small portion of said rotating head protrudes from the front surface. The body also includes a clip member, removably mounted, to the back of the light and an on/off power switch on the front. The light is a portable and hands-free LED lamp that produces a significant amount of non- invasive light with a multitude of applications including but not limited to: checking on babies and young children at night, examining patients or administering medicine reading a book, lighting the inside of a carry bag, various sporting applications, illuminating a map in a vehicle, performing various home or automobile repairs and/or for use as a personal safety night light. The use of the present invention is not restricted to the above examples, but rather is very useful in any situation where a portable clip-on light is required for hands-free illumination.
