Apparatus for use with a door is disclosed. The apparatus comprises one or more teeth which are mounted in use to said door so that the teeth are disposed at the base of the door and project upwardly, to permit a user to open the door by placing his or her foot upon the teeth and drawing the door towards him or herself with the muscles of the leg. The device thereby allows users to open doors without the use of the hands in situations where handle cleanliness is an issue or where the user's hands are otherwise engaged.
