Apparatus for fastening an all-terrain vehicle (F) on steep terrain at stationary hang-up means (8), said vehicle having hauling means (9) attached thereto and a hook (2) attached to hauling means (9), with a movable coupling head (1) attached to hauling means (9) and mounting hook (2) for pivoting between a closed position in which tip (5) of hook (2) is moved towards movable coupling head (1), and a release position in which said tip (5) is pivoted away from movable coupling head (1). Also provided are a latching bolt (17) for latching hook (2) in place and guided for sliding movement on movable coupling head, and remote control means for an actuator for releasing latching bolt (17).
