A garment hanger. There is a main body having a central area. There are limbs at the end of each main body and each limb includes a recess intermediate the end of the limb and the main body. There is a gripping member at the end of each limb. A pair of second bodies are hinged to the main body, one at each side of the central area. There is a limb at the end of each second body that corresponds to a limb of the main body. There is a recess in each second body that corresponds to, and is aligned with, a recess in a limb of the main body. There are gripping members at the end of each limb of each second body. The second bodies are urged towards the main body, typically by a spring, so that a garment may be gripped between the gripping members. The hanger is simple to use, can hold a substantial number of garments and is economical to produce.
