A hanger assembly for use in securing a cylindrical container to the frame of a transport vehicle, while permitting rapid mounting and dismounting of the drum, the assembly comprising a concave cradle support to be secured to the frame of the vehicle for receiving a segment of the surface of the cylinder, rapid releasing strapping means for surrounding a portion of the drum surface and for rolling and securing the drum against the concave cradle support, such that the secured drum does not interfere with normal operation of the transport vehicle, and the drum may be accessed for rapid dismounting when required. Also described is a pair of hangers for use in supporting and suspending a hanger bar from a vehicle frame which comprises right and left hangers adapted to be positionable and then secured together and to the vehicle frame, and the hangers are adapted to support and suspend the hanger bar, while permitting positioning prior to the bar being secured to the pair of hangers.
