9 ABSTRACT An archery bow hanger is capable of holding a bow or bows vertically and in parallel spaced relation to a door or wall on which the hanger is mounted. A mounting means may take the form of a U-shaped hook member which extends around the top edge of a door. The hook member is suffici- ently thin that, when the door is closed, the hook member is able to sit between the door and its adjacent frame. The hook member is connected to one end of an extension member that extends away from the door, and a horizontal bar is connected to the other end of the extension member. A bow is held on the horizontal bar such that its respec- tive limb and string extend on opposite sides of the bar. Several alternate mounting means are described. The hanger allows a bow to be vertically mounted such that the limb of the bow is directed away from the door or wall on which the hanger is mounted, adjustments to the bow being thereby facilitated.

9 RESUME La présente invention a pour objet un crochet de suspension pour arc servant à suspendre un ou des arcs à la verticale et parallèlement espacés par rapport à un mur ou à une porte sur lequel ou sur laquelle le support est monté. Le support de montage prend la forme d'un crochet en U disposé sur le sommet d'une porte. Le crochet en question est suffisamment mince pour tenir entre la porte et son encadrement. Le crochet est relié à l'extrémité d'une rallonge qui assure l'espacement par rapport à la porte, et une barre horizontale est reliée à l'autre extrémité de la rallonge en question. L'arc repose sur le support, la branche et la corde se trouvant de part et d'autre de la barre horizontale. Plusieurs supports de montage sont décrits. Le crochet de suspension permet de suspendre un arc à la verticale, de telle sorte que la branche de l'arc se trouve éloignée de la porte ou du mur sur lequel le crochet est monté, ce qui facilite le réglage de l'arc.
