The present invention is directed to a hanger for storing a drainer tray. The drainer tray consists of a flat pan portion having parallel side walls and a rear end wall. The hanger of the present invention comprises an elongate body portion having a top surface, bottom surface, side walls, a front end and a rear end. A longitudinal slot is provided in the bottom surface of said body portion. The slot is sized and shaped so that a corresponding shaped retainer means on the drainer tray will slide into and be retained by said slot. The present invention not only enables the tray to be easily and conveniently stored it does so in a manner that prevents deformation of the tray.
