ABSTRACT A hanger is provided for use in supporting a suspended ceiling runner which is provided with a plurality of elongated upwardly-facing holes along an upper surface thereof. The hanger has a central upper portion for connection to a ceiling, and lower portions integral with and laterally spaced apart from each other and from the central upper portion. The lower portions include hook portions for engaging in holes in the ceiling runner. In the preferred embodiment, the hanger is a substantially V- shaped rod member, in which the free ends of the arms of the V-shaped rod member are bent inwardly generally towards each other, thereby forming hook portions. The runner may thus be suspended from the hanger by inserting the hook portions in the elongated upwardly-facing holes for the hook portions to engage the ceiling runner adjacent the holes.
