HANGING DEVICE FOR BAR MATERIALS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a novel type of a hanging device for bar materials transported by a conveyor which comprises a vertical base plate member rigidly fixed to the underside of the conveyor body and a chuck unit at a distance from the vertical base plate member composed of a plurality of gripper members, each closely adjacent the neighboring ones, pivotal around a horizontal axis each independently from the others and each having roughened edge surfaces facing the vertical base plate member ensur- ing reliable chucking of the bar material of any cross- section between the vertical base plate member and the chuck unit with the roughness biting in to the surface the bar material upon the downward rotation of the in- dividual gripper members. - 1 -
