Mobile terminal communicating resource requests for dedicated uplink channel resources in a mobile communication system and method for communicating resource requests for dedicated uplink channel resources in a mobile communication system. To allow the serving cell to detect "DOWN" commands from non-serving cells during soft handover the invention suggests a new definition of criteria for setting the "happy bit" in the control information associated to data transmitted on dedicated uplink channels. According to these criteria the mobile terminal may not indicate an unhappy condition while ramping up resource utilization. Only if resources equivalent to the maximum serving grant are utilized, the transmission buffer status requires to and the power status of the terminal allows for the happy bit is set to indicate a unhappy condition.
La présente invention concerne un terminal mobile qui communique des requêtes de ressources pour des ressources de canal de liaison montante dans un système de communication mobile, ainsi qu'un procédé pour communiquer des requêtes de ressources pour des ressources de canal de liaison montante dans un système de communication mobile. Afin de permettre à la cellule de desserte de détecter des commandes <= descendantes >= provenant des cellules qui ne sont pas de desserte lors d'un transfert intercellulaire sans coupure, une nouvelle définition de critères est établie pour régler le <= bit satisfait >= dans les informations de commande qui sont associées aux données transmises sur des canaux de liaison montante spécialisés. Selon ces critères, le terminal mobile peut ne pas indiquer une condition insatisfaite lors de l'accélération de l'utilisation des ressources. Seulement si les ressources équivalentes à l'autorisation de desserte maximale sont utilisées, l'état de tampon d'émission le nécessite et l'état de puissance du terminal permet au bit satisfait d'être réglé de manière à indiquer une condition insatisfaite.
