The object of the invention is to provide a hard capsule that is excellent in stability even when filled with a solvent for dissolving a poorly soluble pharmaceutical active ingredient, and that has excellent mechanical strength in a low-humidity environment. The invention provides a hard capsule having a film containing (A) a polymer or copolymer obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing at least one polymerizable vinyl monomer represented by Formula (1): H2C = C(R1)-COOR2 (1), wherein R1 represents hydrogen or methyl, and R2 represents hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl, in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol and/or a derivative thereof; and (B) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (B-1) polyhydric alcohols, (B-2) esters of polyhydric alcohols and C1-C5 carboxylic acids, and (B-3) esters of polyvalent carboxylic acids and C1-C5 alcohols. The capsule of the present invention has excellent mechanical strength, while maintaining low moisture content, and thus exhibits excellent physical stability even when filled with a poorly soluble drug-dissolving solvent.
La présente invention concerne une gélule très stable même quand un solvant capable de dissoudre un ingrédient pharmacologiquement actif faiblement soluble est placé à l'intérieur. Ladite gélule est également caractérisée par une remarquable résistance mécanique lorsqu'elle se trouve dans un environnement peu humide. L'invention concerne, plus précisément, une gélule comprenant un film d'enrobage, ledit film d'enrobage comprenant : (A) un polymère ou un copolymère résultant de la polymérisation ou de la copolymérisation d'au moins un monomère de vinyle polymérisable de formule générale [1] : H2C=C(R1)-COOR2 [1] [où R1 représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe méthyle et R2 un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle comportant de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone] en présence d'un alcool polyvinylique et/ou d'un dérivé de celui-ci ; et (B) au moins un composé choisi dans le groupe constitué de : (B-1) un polyalcool, (B-2) un ester de polyalcool et d'acide carboxylique comportant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone et (B-3) un ester d'acide polycarboxylique et d'alcool comportant de 1 à 5 atomes de carbone. Cette gélule présente une remarquable résistance mécanique, peut conserver une faible teneur en humidité et est caractérisée par une exceptionnelle stabilité physique même quand un solvant capable de dissoudre un ingrédient pharmacologiquement actif faiblement soluble est placé à l'intérieur.
