ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a new hard coating process with sorbitol wherein a syrup of sorbitol which has a concentration of dry matter comprised between 60 and 85 by weight and a concentration D-sorbitol greater then 90%, is applied to a moving bed of cores to be hard-coated the temperature of which is below 55°C, the conditions being selected in such a way that when the sorbitol arrives in contact with the cores, its saturation level is comprised between 0,65 and 1,25.
