A hardening composition comprising a particulate glass, said glass comprising 10-35% by weight of silica, 10-35% by weight of alumina, 3-30% by weight of zinc oxide, 4-30% by weight of P205 and 3-25% by weight of fluoride, and an acidic copolymer reactive with the particulate glass under aqueous conditions. An aqueous polymer solution comprising 10 to 65% by weight of the acidic copolymer of the hardening composition with a mean molecular weight of from 50,000 to 200,000, obtainable by a process comprising the copolymerization of a mixture containing acrylic acid and an acrylic acid ester (I) and / or a compound of the formula (II) and, optionally, a compound of the formula (III): Formulas (1) (II) (III) wherein k is an integer of from 1 to 5; h is an integer from 0 to (5 - k); n is an integer of from 1 to 3; R1 is hydrogen or a C1-6 alkyl group, and; R2 and R3 independently represent hydrogen, a C1-6 alkyl group or a moiety of the following formula (IV): Formula (IV) wherein m independently is an integer of from 0 to 3, and L is -CH2- or -CH=CH-; provided that at least one of R1, R2 or R3 is not hydrogen.
L'invention concerne une composition de durcissement contenant du verre particulaire, ce verre contenant de 10 à 35% en poids de silice, de 10 à 35% en poids d'alumine, de 3 à 30% en poids d'oxyde de zinc, de 4 à 30% en poids de P2O5 et de 3 à 25% en poids de fluorure, ainsi qu'un copolymère acide réagissant avec le verre particulaire dans des conditions aqueuses. L'invention concerne également une solution polymère aqueuse contenant de 10 à 65% en poids du copolymère acide de la composition de durcissement, présentant un poids moléculaire moyen compris entre 50 000 et 200 000 et pouvant être obtenue par un procédé consistant à copolymériser un mélange contenant de l'acide acrylique et un ester d'acide acrylique (I) et/ou un composé de formule (II) et, facultativement, un composé de formule (III) : formules (I) (II) (III), dans lesquelles k représente un entier compris entre 1 et 5 ; h représente un entier compris entre 0 et (5 - k) ; n représente un entier compris entre 1 et 3 ; R1 représente hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle C1-6 et ; R2 et R3 représentent indépendamment hydrogène, un groupe alkyle C1-6 ou une fraction de la formule (IV) suivante : formule (IV), dans laquelle m représente indépendamment un entier compris entre 0 et 3 et L représente -CH2- ou -CH=CH- ; à condition qu'au moins R1, R2 ou R3 ne représente pas hydrogène.
