In various embodiments, methods, apparatuses, and systems for accurate patient positioning and motion tracking before and/or during head and neck radiation therapy, such as intensity modulated radiation therapy, are provided. In exemplary embodiments, a computing system may be endowed with one or more components of the disclosed apparatuses and/or systems and may be employed to perform one or more methods as disclosed herein. Exemplary embodiments provide head and neck radia-tion localization using, in part, an oral appliance.
