A head device (10), in particular a thermal printhead, is provided which includes an insulating substrate (11) having a first longitudinal edge (11a) and a second longitudinal edge (11b) opposite to the first longitudinal edge (11a), an operating element (12) arranged on the substrate adjacent to the first longitudinal edge (11a), an array of plural drive ICs (13) arranged on the substrate (11) along the second longitudinal edge (11b) for actuating the operating element (12), and a protective resin coating (17) for enclosing the drive ICs (13). The protective coating (17) includes a terminal protrusion (17a) which is made at the time of forming the protective coating (17) by resin application. The terminal protrusion (17a) is located between two adjacent drive ICs (13) and projects toward the second edge (11b) of the substrate (11).
Cette invention concerne un dispositif de tête (10), et plus particulièrement une tête d'impression thermique, lequel dispositif comprend un substrat isolant (11) qui possède une première partie bord longitudinal (11a) ainsi qu'une seconde partie bord longitudinal (11b) opposée à la première (11a). Ce dispositif comprend également les éléments suivants: un élément de travail (12) situé sur le substrat à proximité de la première partie bord longitudinal (11a); plusieurs circuits imprimés pilotes (13), lesquels sont disposés en réseau sur le substrat le long de la seconde partie bord longitudinal (11b), et assurent le pilotage de l'élément de travail (12); et enfin, un revêtement de protection (17) se composant de résine, lequel recouvre les circuits imprimés pilotes (13) et possède une protubérance de connexion (17a) formée en même temps que lui. Cette protubérance de connexion (17a), qui est orientée en direction de la seconde partie bord longitudinal (11b) sur le substrat (11), est disposée entre deux circuits imprimés pilotes (13) adjacents.
