ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spectacle structure having a plurality of flexible portions formed in head engaging components thereof is disclosed wherein the flexible portions permit unidirectional bending of the head engaging components of the spectacle structure to thereby conform to and exert inwardly directed pressures on the head of the person to support the spectacle structure thereon, said spectacle structure engaging the head portions for support with an absence of support by the nose or ears. The spectacle structure includes lens means depending from a front frame member, and a pair of elongated temple members hingedly connected to respective opposite end portions of the front frame member. The head engaging components of the spectacle structure are of a combined length such that one of the temple members is in crossing and overlying relation with the other of the temple members when in an open and re- laxed position.
