There is disclosed a protective head gear comprising a helmet having a brim positioned above the eyes of the wearer, a face protector covering at least a portion of the face of the wearer, and an adapter comprising an elongate cross member for securing the face protector to the helmet along the brim. There is also disclosed an adapter for attaching a face protector having a pair of strap receiving slots moulded therein to a helmet, comprising a cross member secured to the helmet, and a pair of support arms for insertion into the strap receiving slots. Additionally, there is disclosed face protective gear for use with a helmet having a brim positioned above the eyes of the wearer, comprising a cross member comprising a lip moulded along an upper edge, and a pair of goggles depending from the cross member. When the cross member is secured to the helmet, the lip overlaps the brim.
La présente invention décrit un dispositif de protection destiné à être porté sur la tête de l~utilisateur. Il comprend un casque au bord positionné au-dessus des yeux , un masque de protection du visage couvrant au moins une partie du visage ainsi qu~un adaptateur comprenant un élément transversal allongé pour fixer le masque de protection au casque le long du bord. L~invention décrit également un adaptateur pour attacher un masque de protection du visage à un casque, le masque de protection comportant deux fentes de réception de courroie moulées. L~adaptateur comporte un élément transversal fixé au casque et deux bras de maintien dont l~un est attaché vers chacune des extrémités de l~élément transversal, chacun des bras de maintien comprenant un tenon conçu pour être inséré dans l~une des fentes de réception de courroie. De plus, l~invention décrit un dispositif de protection du visage destiné à être utilisé avec un casque présentant un bord positionné au-dessus des yeux de l~utilisateur. Le dispositif de protection comprend un élément transversal composé d~une lèvre moulée le long d~un côté supérieur et une paire de lunettes dépendant de l~élément transversal. Lorsque celui-ci est fixé au casque, la lèvre recouvre le bord.
