A guide sleeve (20) for receiving and supporting a guide post (18) of a head restraint (16) within a seat back frame (17) of a seat assembly. The guide sleeve (20) includes a body (22) extending between opposite upper (24) and lower ends (26). A bore (28) defined by cylindrical inner walls (30) extends longitudinally through the guide sleeve (20) for slidably receiving the guide post (18) therethrough for allowing selective adjustment of the head restraint (16) relative to the seat back between a plurality of head supporting positions. A plurality of rings (34) project outwardly from the body (22) and are deformable against the seat back frame during insertion of the guide sleeve (20) into a hole or tube (17) formed in the seat back frame for creating an interference fit between the guide sleeve and the seat back frame without deforming the bore, and thereby, not increasing efforts required to slide the guide post through the bore during movement of the head restraint between the plurality of head supporting positions.
L'invention concerne un manchon de guidage (20) recevant et soutenant un montant de guidage (18) d'appui-tête (16) sur un dossier de siège (17) d'ensemble siège. Le manchon (20) comprend un corps (22) étendu entre des extrémités supérieure (24) et inférieure (26) opposées. Un trou (28) défini par des parois cylindriques internes (30) a une extension longitudinale à travers le manchon (20) pour recevoir le manchon (18) coulissant et permettre le réglage sélectif de l'appui-tête (16) par rapport au dossier, entre plusieurs positions de soutien de la tête. Plusieurs anneaux (34) ressortent du corps (22) vers l'extérieur et peuvent être déformés contre le cadre du dossier durant l'insertion du manchon (20) dans un trou ou un tube (17) formé dans le cadre du dossier, pour l'établissement d'un ajustement serré entre le manchon et ledit cadre, sans déformation du trou, et donc sans augmentation des efforts requis pour faire coulisser le montant de guidage dans le trou lorsque l'appui-tête passe d'une position de réglage à l'autre.
