"HEADER FOR A COMBINE HARVESTER" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A header for attachment to a combine harvester for use by the header as a swather unit includes a pair of side drapers mounted on the header frame for transportation of the crop toward a rearward feed draper at the feeder housing of the combine. To connect to a swather, one of the side drapers slide longitudinally of the frame over the feed draper to leave a discharge opening at one end of the header and reverses in direction to move the crop to the one end for discharge to the ground.
