HEADER FOR HARVESTING SUNFLOWERS ABSTRACT A distinctive feature of the invention is the fact that a stalk picker is provided in a part of a channel formed by adjacent grain lifters for passage of plants opposite to the entrance portion of the channel, between a chain conveyor and a cutter device. A deflector plate is provided under the cutter device, and a boss is provided on the stalk picker for protecting abutments of the chain conveyor and cutters of the cutter device on the zone of passage of the cut product. The cutter devices have drive means for rotating the cutters in a direction opposite to the hand of flights of an auger which moves the product towards an inclined chamber of a grain harvesting combine.
