A header tape for curtains or the like has loops for a hook and loop fastener woven at discrete, spaced apart loop regions. The loops are formed from a part of the warp threads. The back of the tape is coated with an adhesive only in the loop regions, for fixing the loops. Therefore, loop-free regions remain flexible and gathers can be easily made. Cords for making the gathers are of a material which will not be adhered to by the adhesive.

Ruban pour tête de rideau ou autres objets assimilés, comportant à intervalles réguliers des boucles formées par les fils de chaîne et destinées à recevoir des crochets. L'envers du ruban est enduit d'un adhésif aux endroits où sont formées les boucles. Le reste du ruban n'est pas enduit et demeure souple pour faciliter le fronçage. Des cordons de fronçage sont prévus, en matériau auquel l'adhésif ne colle pas.
