A method for the selective amplification of a target nucleic acid in a sample comprising the target nucleic acid and at least one non-target nucleic acid, the method comprising amplifying the nucleic acids by means of at least one oligonucleotide primer comprising: a primer region that can prime and extend on the target and non-target nucleic acids; and a region that is an inverted repeat of an internal sequence of an amplicon of the at least one non-target nucleic acid but which contains at least one mismatch to the corresponding internal sequence, if present, of an amplicon of the target nucleic acid.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'amplification sélective d'un acide nucléique cible dans un échantillon comprenant l'acide nucléique cible et au moins un acide nucléique non-cible, le procédé consistant à amplifier les acides nucléiques au moyen d'au moins une amorce oligonucléotidique comprenant: une région d'amorce pouvant amorcer et se développer sur les acides nucléiques cible et non-cible; et une région qui est une répétition inversée d'une séquence interne d'un amplicon d'au moins un acide nucléique non-cible mais qui contient au moins un mésappariement dans la séquence interne correspondante, s'il en est, d'un amplicon de l'acide nucléique cible.
