The instrument (22) includes a first port (24). The system includes a cradle (30) for receiving the instrument (22). The cradle (30) includes a second port (32) for coupling to the first port (24) to download data from the instrument (22) to the cradle (30). The system (20) further includes a base (38) having a third port (40). The cradle (30) includes a fourth port (42) for coupling to the third port (40) to permit downloading to the base (38) of data collected from the instrument (22) by the cradle (30). The system (20) further includes an accessory box (110) including a fifth port (166). Engagement of the cradle (30) with the accessory box (110) couples the fourth (42) and fifth (166) ports. Engagement of the accessory box (110) with the base (38) couples (166, 168, 163, 170, 172) the third (40) and fifth ports (166).
