ABSTRACT HEARTH AND PROCESS FOR FLUIDISED-BED TREATMENT OF A FUEL Hearth and process for the fluidised bed treatment of a fuel consisting of solid particles. The grid for conveying gaseous fluidisation and/or forcing fluid to a treatment chamber comprises two separately supplied gas distribution means of channels, respectively a first gas distribution means of channels with orifices widened towards the top, for the fluidisa- tion of a particulate material, and a second gas distri- bution means of tubular channels, opening out above widened orifices, for forcing the particulate material.
