ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The specification of the present invention dis- closes a device for improving the heat transfer from a metal flue to the surrounding air. The device comprises a thin gauge metal strip having a support band and a plurality of fin members secured to the band and deformable relative thereto. The metal strips are produced by subjecting the metal strip to a cutting operation to define the fins and is packaged in this planar state. The purchaser first deforms the fins such that they project outwardly from the support band and then wrap the band about a stove pipe. The device is held in place by deforming two overlapping fins simul- taneously such that they inter engage.
