ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A heat-curable aqueous coil coating primer for priming metal coil comprises a film-forming binder phase comprising a heat-curable, water-dispersible polyurethane polymer, and a thermosetting or thermoplastic resinous latex in synergistic combination; and a pigment phase which includes corrosion- inhibiting pigment and, optionally, opacifying pigment.
