An apparatus (30) for distributing heat between the heat source (34) and grill (31) of a gas burning barbecue or kettle, vaporizing and controlling food liquids that fall through the cooking grill, and for easily converting the cooking characteristics of a barbecue to that of a range if so desired. The apparatus is comprised of two articular parts including flat apertured plate (10) and cap (20). The plate is horizontally situated so that an aperture (13) is located directly over a gas burner (34). The plate includes an array of inwardly and upwardly projecting teeth (11) around the aperture (13) for supporting a cooking vessel (40) just above the heat source (34) for range style cooking. The cap (20) fits over the aperture (13) for spreading heat from the gas burner (34) for conventional barbecue style cooking.
L'invention porte sur un appareil (30) qui répartit la chaleur entre la source de chaleur (34) et la grille (31) d'un barbecue à gaz ou une bouilloire. L'appareil vaporise et contrôle les liquides alimentaires qui coulent à travers la grille de cuisson et convertit facilement les caractéristiques de cuisson d'un barbecue à celles d'une cuisinière si besoin est. Il est composé de deux parties articulées : une plaque plane perforée (10) et un capuchon (20). La plaque est disposée horizontalement de sorte qu'une ouverture (13) se trouve directement au-dessus d'un brûleur à gaz (34). De plus, elle comprend une série de dents (11) se prolongeant vers l'intérieur et vers le haut et placées autour de l'ouverture (13) afin de soutenir un récipient de cuisson (40) juste au-dessus de la source de chaleur (34) pour une cuisson de style cuisinière.
