ABSTRACT : Heat exchanger comprising a finned pipe. A heat exchanger comprising a finned metal pipe (1) which is arranged in a holder (3, 11) and to which are secured a number of interconnected lamellae (5) which extend helically around the pipe (1) with the adjacent lamellae (5) of successive turns partially overlapping each other in the circurmferential direction of the pipe (1). Each of the lamellae (5) is provided with a capillary passage (7), which, with a vertically arranged pipe (1), is located above the surface of an underlying lamella (5) in an offset position with respect to the capillary passage (7) of the underlying lamella (5). The heat exchanger forms drops from a liquid supplied thereto so that an optimum heat-mass transfer can be obtained.
