ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A gas turbine wherein an intermediate connection member of a generator for the gas relative to the power stage or transition piece acts as a heat-exchanger for the stator box of said power stage with which it is ther- mally in contact with its downstream end. The intermediate connection member is provided with an electric heating coil embedded in its external surface and an inner annular chamber within which cooling air is caused to flow along a helical path from the downstream end to the upstream end of said chamber.
