ABSTRACT Method of and means for heat generation by producing vapor i.e., steam, by subject liquid to friction of a magnitude to vaporize the liquid in an elongate passage through which the liquid is caused to transit under sub- stantial hydrokinetic pressure and velocity from one end to and from the opposite end from which the steam is received from the passage for use. Vaporization may be effected as part of a one-way system or of a recirculation system.
