A HEAT-INSULATING CASTING TUBE FOR A METALLURGICAL VESSEL Abstract of the Disclosure The casting tube has a wall formed of heat- insulating material consisting of inorganic particles embedded in a binder, the particles being sinterable under the action of the heat generated by the liquid metal as it flows within the tube. The end portion of the tube which is engaged on the casting nozzle carries a ring of refractory material, the internal surface of the ring being placed in direct contact with the casting nozzle or with an adapter which forms a nozzle extension.
