ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to heat insulating flashings comprising a thin flexible inner metal element having a flat outer edge portion and an upstanding flange and a thin flexible outer metal element having a flat inner edge portion in spaced apart relation with said outer edge portion and a pair of joining elements spanning the space between the flat inner and outer edge portions of the metal elements. The joining elements are formed of heat insulating material and continuously and flexibly interconnect the metal elements to form a composite unitary thin flexible flashing. Each of the join- ing elements comprises a thin strip of flexible tape adhesively secured to respective opposite coplanar faces of the metal elements along the flat and outer edge portions forming a hollow air space between facing edges of the metal elements.
