ABSTRACT: The presence of HEAT PUMP systems has been with us for decades. The science of ENERGY MANAGEMENT and today's environmental awareness prompted us to devise a unique HEAT PUMP system especially tailored to the DOMESTIC HOT WATER market. "Simplicity" is the keynote feature of this system! It embodies a small compressor, a 40 gallon storage tank with wrap-around condenser, a unique evaporator and a method of using energy radiated by the compressor to give a secondary source of heat by the thermosyphon principle. This is accomplished by the use of a coil wrapped around the compressor, which transfers the heated water to the storage tank by thermosyphon.
