L'invention concerne une composition adhésive thermofusible réticulable à base de copolymère d'éthylène- acétate de vinyle possédant des fonctions hydroxyles et de polyisocyanate caractérisée en ce qu'elle se présente sous la forme d'un prépolymère, contenant des fonctions isocyanates libres, résultant de la réaction du copolymère éthylène-acétate de vinyle contenant des fonctions hydroxyles et d'un polyisocyanate en excès. Cette composi- tion est obtenue par réaction, selon l'invention, d'un mélange à l'état fondu d'un copolymère éthylène-acétate de vinyle possédant des fonctions hydroxyles avec un polyisocyanate en excès, une résine collante (tackifiante) étant éventuellement ajoutée au milieu réactionnel. La composition selon l'invention présente l'avantage de réticuler, sous l'effet de l'humidité atmosphérique, à des température notamment inférieure à 120°C.
