A heat and energy recovery ventilator housing comprising at least one means for releasable sealing engagement of the at least one energy core to the housing and for providing an air tight seal between the at least one energy core and an interior of the housing, said sealing means positioned to prevent a leakage between the supply airflow and the exhaust airflow, is described. A sealing system comprising a gasket having a sealing surface and a rail having contact surface, said gasket attachable to an interior of the ventilator housing and said rail attachable to the core at a location in alignment with the gasket, the gasket and the rail, when positioned in alignment, magnetically cooperating thereby forming an airtight seal for preventing an air leakage between the supply airflow and the return airflow within the housing but outside of the core is also described. The ventilator housing and sealing system allows for the easy insertion and removal of a heat or energy recovery ventilator core while maintaining an airtight seal when the core is in place.
La présente invention concerne un logement pour ventilateur de récupération de chaleur et d'énergie qui comprend au moins un dispositif permettant au noyau d'énergie de venir de manière amovible en contact étanche avec le logement et de fournir un joint étanche à l'air entre le noyau d'énergie et l'intérieur du logement, ledit dispositif d'étanchéité étant installé afin de prévenir toute fuite entre le flux d'air entrant et le flux d'air sortant. L'invention porte aussi sur un système d'étanchéité qui comprend un joint d'étanchéité doté d'une surface d'étanchéité et d'un rail pourvu d'une surface de contact. Ledit joint d'étanchéité peut se fixer à l'intérieur du logement du ventilateur et ledit rail peut se fixer sur le noyau à un emplacement aligné avec le joint d'étanchéité. Lorsque le joint d'étanchéité et le rail sont alignés et coopèrent de manière magnétique, ils forment un joint étanche à l'air qui empêche toute fuite entre le flux d'air entrant et le flux d'air sortant dans le logement à l'extérieur du noyau. Le logement du ventilateur et le système d'étanchéité permettent d'insérer et de retirer facilement le noyau du ventilateur de récupération de chaleur et d'énergie tout en conservant un joint étanche à l'air lorsque le noyau est en place.
