ABSTRACT Heat pipe (10) comprising an enclosure (15) formed of flexible thin plastics material defining opposed planar walls (12, 14). The enclosure has therewithin liquid and a vapour of the liquid in thermal equilibrium. To prevent collapse of the enclosure (15), it has therewithin numerous solid spheres (22). In an alternative construction the walls of a heat pipe have dimples (240) or corrugations to prevent collapse.
