PHI. 78/016. ABSTRACT: There is provided a water storage heater hav- ing a heat pump including a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator. The condenser is arranged in heat relation- ship with a wall of an inner hot-water contiainer. An outer shell is spaced from and surrounds the inner contain- er to provide an interspace, at least part of the outer shell being constituted by the evaporator. Apertures are also provided in the outer shell to provide for air cir- culation through the interspace.
