ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A forced air heating system has a heat recovery unit assembled therewith, the heating system comprising a fuel burner and a flue pipe for outlet gases. The heat recovery unit has a metal flue conduit with a flue gas in- let and a flue gas outlet connected to form a portion of the flue pipe. An elongated casing surrounds the flue con- duit and has an air inlet and an air outlet, and the flue conduit has a series of metal fins extending from the exterior thereof within the casing. The air outlet is connected to the forced air heating system by operation thereof through the heat recovery unit in contact with the fins so as to be heated by flue gases passing through the flue conduit and heating the conduit fins.
