A heat resistant magnesium die casting alloy simultaneously improved in heat resistance and castability and expanded in range of application is provided. It comprises, includes, by wt %, the following composition: Al: over 6 % to not more than 10 %, Ca: 1.8 to 5 %, Sr: 0.05 to 1.0 %, Mn: 0.1 to 0.6 %, and Bal: Mg and unavoidable impurities, the ratio Ca/Al of the Ca content to the Al content being 0.3 to 0.5. To improve the corrosion resistance, 0.1 to 3 % of a RE may also be added.

L'invention concerne un alliage de moulage mécanique de magnésium résistant à la chaleur amélioré simultanément sur le plan de la résistance à la chaleur et de la coulabilité et élargi à une certaine gamme d'applications. Cet alliage contient, en % en poids, la composition suivante: Al: plus de 6 % jusqu'à maximum 10 %, Ca: 1,8 à 5 %, Sr: 0,05 à 1 %, Mn: 0,1 à 0,6 %, et Bal: Mg et des impuretés inévitables, le rapport Ca/Al de la teneur en Ca par rapport à la teneur en Al étant comprise entre 0,3 et 0,5. En vue d'améliorer la résistance à la corrosion, 0,1 à 3 % de métal des terres rares (RE) peuvent également être ajoutés.
