A thermosetting, heat-resistant, silicon based powder coating composition is provided for use on substrates likely to be subjected to high temperatures above 550~ C. The powder coating composition contains low melting glass particles, which soften and flow at temperatures in the range which the organic components of the coating burn away. The glass particles at such temperatures are therefore able to fill voids in the film formed from the coating powders and prevent adhesion failure of the coating from the substrate.

L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement en poudre à base de silicium thermodurcissable et thermorésistante à utiliser sur des substrats susceptibles d'être soumis à des températures élevées supérieures à 550· C. La composition de revêtement en poudre renferme des particules de verre tendres devant molles et s'écoulant à des températures comprises dans la gamme dans laquelle les composants organiques du revêtement brûlent. Les particules de verre à de telles températures peuvent ainsi remplir des vides dans le film formé à partir des poudres du revêtement et empêcher une adhésion non réussie du revêtement à partir du substrat.
