ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A heat-resistant thermal transfer sheet comprising a base film provided on one surface thereof with a hot melt ink layer and with a heat-resistant protective layer on the other surface thereof. The heat-resistant protective layer is produced from a composition comprising (a) a thermoplastic resin having an OH or COOH group, (b) a polyamine or polyisocyanate, and (c) a thermoplastic resin, or a composition based on a silicone-modified resin. The heat transfer sheet of the present invention prevents sticking and blocking problems and makes it possible to carry out printing smoothly.
