The present invention provides a multi-layer heat sealable film which is produced by coextrusion and compression rolled orientation. The film comprises at least one barrier layer (B) of a moisture and/or gas resistant thermoplastic material and at least one sealant layer (A) of a heat sealable thermoplastic material.
