- 13 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved heat sensitive coating composition and heat sensitive paper for thermal printing containing the composition are disclosed. The composition contains a color-forming amount of a finely divided solid colorless or pale colored chromogenic fluoran dyestuff, a color-developing amount of a finelydivided mixture of benzyl p-hydroxy benzoate and a halogenated derivative of 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol and a carrier composition.
