Title: HEAT-SE~SITIVE COLOR TRANSFER RECORDING MEDI~ Abstract: A heat--~ensitive color transfer recording media comprising a continuous foundation and a mul-tip:lici-ty of coated areas oE heat-sensitive transfer inks applied onto the foundation; the multiplicity of the coated areas being disposed on the continuous foundation sicle by side so as to traverse the continuous foundation; the multiplicity of the coated areas being arranged sequentially in the longitudinal direction o~ the continuous foundation in a repeating unit which comprises a plurality of diEferent color coated areas; each of the different color coa-ted areas included in the repeating unit having a len~th in the longitudinal direction of the con-tinuous foundation substantially e~ual to the length or width of a copy sheet; each of the heat-sensitive transfer ink layers of the coated areas being a transparent ink layer comprising a transparent coloring agent and a -transparent hot-melt vehicle; and said plurality of the different color heat-sensitive transEer ink layers of the coa-ted areas o~ -the recording media being transferred onto the copy sheet so that different color ink images are superimposed on the copy sheet to give a color image. By employing the recording media, a color copy having a clear color image with a high resolution can be obtained at low cost.
