Abstract of the Disclosure A heat storage device is disclosed for receiving heat from, or giving off heat to, a current of air. The device has storage members, which are filled with a meltable storage mass, and is characterised in that a plurality of storage members are arranged in mutually parallel layers to define a storage battery and are in the form of rib-shaped elements of large area and small thickness so that between them they form ducts for the passage therethrough of the current of air, whereby the storage members simultaneous- ly form the ribs of a heat exchanger.
