A formate salt based heat transfer fluid containing sulfamic acid and/or biocides for a secondary refrigeration loop is disclosed. The formate based heat transfer fluid generally is a more effective heat transfer medium than a glycol based fluid designed to operate in the same temperature range. The formate based fluid also has lower toxicity and environmental risks than the glycol fluid.

La présente invention concerne un fluide caloporteur à base de sel de formiate contenant de l'acide sulfamique et/ou des biocides pour une boucle de réfrigération secondaire. Le fluide caloporteur à base de formiate est de manière générale un agent caloporteur plus efficace qu'un fluide à base de glycol destiné à fonctionner dans la même plage de températures. En outre, le fluide à base de formiate présente une toxicité est des risques en matière d'environnement plus faibles que le fluide à base de glycol.
